I’ve been a pillar of strength for many, but where is my pillar when I’m deep down in the valley.
Sweat, blood and tears, yet still I tarry.
Worry, depression, confusion every burden you name it, I feel like I carry.
God! Is it really worth it at the end of my journey?
God you said you’ll never leave me or forsake me, yet still it seems like you just got fed up and forgot me.
Fasting, praying, waiting for sometimes years but still I’m trusting.
Constantly reminded by your word that weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning.
Lord! Oh how I thank you for my new morning.
I was once so blinded by sorrows, my eyes so clouded by my situations.
But I thank you, for your joy is indeed my strength.
You are! my pillar in the valley helping me to endure to the very end.
Opening my eyes to see that my journey is worth it and will be oh so glorious at the end.
